Following graduation from James Wood High School, I earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Madison College. During a 15 year period as a first grade teacher for Frederick County Public Schools, I received a master’s degree from JMU. Those years of teaching, followed by quite a few years of being a stay-at-home mother, led me to becoming a substitute teacher at BSELC and then lastly, a pre-k teacher here. It is exciting to work with four and five-year-olds and their parents during the final year of preschool!
