Each classroom is equipped with age-appropriate equipment that includes shelves, toys, supplies, tables, and chairs. Each classroom is set up so children can freely explore each center.
Here at BSELC, we want to promote an art-filled center where children can express how they are feeling or create artwork for fun. We believe this will help them use their imaginations, keep their creativity alive, and prompt them to create more.
For your child to further develop their motor skills, we are equipped with a playground and a gymnasium. They can run, jump, throw and kick balls, and so much more in these areas. Our teachers will also use these areas as an extension of their classrooms; they will enjoy different activities like painting outdoors or using a parachute while in the gym.
Braddock Street Early Learning Center is a full-time program. We have an open-door policy allowing you to visit your child during the day or pick them up early.
Assessments will be completed 2-3 times a year, and conferences will be held (for our Pioneers through Voyagers classes) twice a year. These assessments will cover all areas of your child’s development and will be discussed during our parent-teacher conferences.
Here at BSELC, we believe that every child needs to have the ability to learn at his or her own pace. Each lesson created by each teacher will take into account each child’s learning levels; by not only creating age-appropriate activities but ones that make sure every child is learning while keeping them engaged. We want a child not just to learn., but to experience learning through their five senses. We want them to be excited to learn more and go home and tell their families all the things they learned during the day.
